I mentioned last week that we were hoping to get the wild flower meadow cut, well we did. It usually takes us about three days of hard work to get it all finished as we hand scythe it, rake it all together then barrow it away. This year however, we got a new hedge trimmer as a present last Christmas which has a long reach on it for our high hedges and it also does long grass so we got it all cut and sorted in one day. It is great to see it all tidy and short again.
The lawns are also looking good now the weeds have gone, they have greened up really well, a customer said last week ‘Your grass is so good it is a shame to let people walk on it’. It does seem to be the only thing not being too affected by the drought.
