Water, Water Everywhere

I would have put money on the fact that as soon as a hosepipe ban is put into operation is does not stop raining.  Here, we are swelching up the garden, the ponds are flooding and the plants (and weeds) having a gay old time, growing like mad and looking really lush.  The difficulties lay in trying to get some weeding done, we have managed to get some borders  in what was the old garden re-weeded as it is much drier and free draining, but further down the garden you are likely to sink up to your knees as water is just running in a small river along the front of the beds but never mind we are still in a drought area.

The nursery is however looking really good as plenty of potting up has been done instead of gardening, we have also come to an agreement with Hanson Brick Co and they are going to redo our nursery beds as they are looking very scruffy due to the bricks breaking up, this is likely to be done in late September as hopefully we will be too busy selling plants until then!
