We are always delighted to welcome volunteer gardeners to our friendly family team at Goltho Gardens. With four and a half acres of gardens to manage, all help is gratefully received!
15 years ago our garden was a ploughed field, today our volunteers are involved with projects in all areas of the garden throughout the year. They have the opportunity to undertake a variety of tasks, including planting, propagating, weeding, hedge trimming, composting, pruning and helping our visitors with any questions they may have.
You don’t have to make a fixed commitment; as long as our volunteers can promise us at least one day per month, we are happy for them spend as little or as much extra time with us as they can, whenever they are able.We are happy to welcome volunteers with any level of experience and will provide all training required. If you have any special personal interests or skills you wish to develop, we are very keen to help you.
We provide our thirsty volunteers with free tea/coffee and Lesley’s delicious home-made biscuits! They also get 10% off any plants they wish to purchase and an invite to our annual volunteers’ lunch. All you need to provide is yourself, dressed in suitable clothing and safety footwear!
